Kriszta Hadas: Remembering the Hungarian reporter on the second anniversary of her death

Colleagues and friends are marking the second anniversary of the death of prominent Hungarian television reporter Kriszta Hadas, who passed away at the age of 53 on October 31, 2024.

Hadas had a three-decade career in journalism, beginning at Magyar Rádió in 1992 before working for Magyar Televízió, RTL Klub, and TV2. She was known for her documentary series, such as “Igazi vészhelyzetben” and “Gyerekkórház,” as well as her work on “Napló,” “Aktív,” and “Magellán.” Her reporting often focused on social issues, healthcare, and the realities of motherhood, notably in her series “Jön a baba.”

Journalist András Sváby expressed his grief, noting that Hadas was like family and that her expertise would have been invaluable in the evolving media landscape. Other colleagues, including Katalin Rangos and Zsanett Czutor-Kilián, also shared tributes to her talent, outspoken nature, and the lasting impact of her work.
