Kırıkkale agricultural officials discuss Kızılırmak projects

The Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of Agriculture held its September coordination meeting at the Turkish Grain Board (TMO) headquarters. Officials confirmed that the grain procurement process for the region has been successfully completed following the harvest.

Discussions focused heavily on combating drought caused by climate change. Participants emphasized the need to transition from traditional flood irrigation to modern, water-saving methods such as drip and sprinkler systems. Plans were also made for field inspections and training to improve water resource management.

Additionally, new projects concerning the Kızılırmak River were addressed. These include planned initiatives for agricultural irrigation, flood protection, and environmental improvement along the riverbed. Various public institutions discussed their respective responsibilities to ensure integrated cooperation on these projects.
