Kırıkkale Organizes Circumcision Festival for 41 Children
Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism Foundations General Directorate held a ceremonial circumcision festival in Kırıkkale, reviving the 1496 Sultan II Bayezid waqf tradition. Forty‑one boys were dressed in special attire and escorted in a convoy of classic cars to the Çeşnigir Canyon, where they enjoyed a boat ride followed by a city tour.
The program included clown performances, regional folk music by the Ustalar Topluluğu, and a communal meal. At the conclusion, each child received a bicycle as a gift. Officials attending the event included Governor Hüseyin Engin Sarıibrahim, Ankara Vakıflar Regional Deputy Director Bilal Akgül, Bahşılı District Governor Elif Yazıcıoğlu Kazanasmaz, AK Party Kırıkkale provincial chair Engin Pehlivanlı, and Bahşılı Mayor Halil İbrahim Bişkin.
