Kırıkkale police capture fugitive with 16-year sentence

Police in Kırıkkale have apprehended A. M., a fugitive serving a 16-year prison sentence who had been at large for approximately three years following a prison escape in 2023.

To evade capture, the individual attempted to mislead authorities by creating fake hotel records in Istanbul to suggest he was in a different city. However, investigators noticed a lack of hospital, pharmacy, or travel records over the past five years. By analyzing these discrepancies and conducting field research, police determined he was actually hiding in the Yahşihan district of Kırıkkale with his mother.

A dawn raid led to his arrest. A. M. is wanted for eight different offenses, including theft through the use of information systems, fraud, forgery, simple injury, environmental pollution, and escaping from custody.
