Kırıkkale social services launch accessibility and foster care initiatives

The Kırıkkale Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate is conducting several initiatives to improve social welfare and accessibility in the region.

An Accessibility Monitoring and Inspection Commission, composed of engineers, architects, and civil society representatives, inspected three major public facilities: a nursing home, a police house, and a multi-purpose sports complex. The inspections focused on ramps, elevators, tactile surfaces, parking, and restrooms to ensure safe and independent access for elderly and disabled citizens.

Additionally, social service experts visited the Bahşılı district to promote the foster care service model. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among local residents and officials regarding child rights and the application process for providing stable, loving family environments for children under state protection.
