Kırklareli officials meet to discuss addiction prevention strategies
The Kırklareli Provincial Addiction Combat Council met at the Provincial Special Administration Assembly Hall to evaluate ongoing anti-addiction efforts and plan future preventative measures.
Governor Uğur Turan emphasized that addiction is a multidimensional issue impacting physical health, mental well-being, family structures, and social stability. He stated that the strategy must go beyond security and medical treatment to include prevention, reaching at-risk individuals, and reintegrating those affected back into society.
A key focus of the meeting was the promotion of the UYUMA mobile application. Integrated into the Ministry’s Hayat 112 Emergency Mobile Reporting Application, UYUMA allows citizens to report drug use, sales, or suspicious activities with location, photo, and video support to law enforcement.
