Kırklareli resident overcomes 45-year smoking addiction

Mediha Kayam, a 60-year-old resident of Kırklareli, has successfully overcome a 45-year smoking addiction through medical treatment. After experiencing shortness of breath and heart pain, Kayam sought help from a family physician, who referred her to the smoking cessation clinic at the Sağlıklı Hayat Merkezi.

Under the care of Dr. Sermin Günay, Kayam underwent a medication-based treatment program. She reported that after five days of medication, her desire to smoke significantly decreased, allowing her to quit entirely. Having been smoke-free for approximately three months, Kayam noted an improvement in her ability to breathe and walk without difficulty.
