Kromberg & Schubert has inaugurated its second industrial site, ‘Béja 2’, in the Béja industrial zone of Tunisia. Specializing in the manufacture of automotive cables, the new facility represents a significant expansion of the group’s operations in the region.
The project involves substantial capital expenditure. Total equipment investment is projected to reach 300 million dinars by 2028. The cumulative investment for the group’s two plants in the Béja region is estimated at approximately 300 million dinars.
Employment is expected to scale significantly at the new site, growing from an estimated 2,500 employees in 2026 to nearly 7,500 by 2029. When combining both the Béja 1 and Béja 2 sites, the group anticipates a total workforce of approximately 14,700 in the region by 2029. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Governor of Béja, Ahmed Ben Kharrat, the German ambassador to Tunisia, and various regional and industrial officials.
