Kromberg & Schubert to create 2,000 jobs in Bitola for Audi production
German company Kromberg & Schubert is launching a new investment project in Bitola, North Macedonia, which is expected to create 2,000 new jobs over the next four years. The project, located in the Zabeni industrial zone, will focus on manufacturing automotive components for Audi, specifically systems for a new vehicle model with a planned daily volume of over 3,000 harnesses.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated that the investment is a significant boost for the Pelagonia region and the national economy, confirming that the country possesses the qualified workforce and industrial capacity to meet high European standards. The project will incorporate modern technologies, including digitalization and artificial intelligence.
With this expansion, Kromberg & Schubert expects to exceed 400 million euros in annual exports from its Macedonian production capacities next year. The company's total workforce in the country is projected to reach nearly 10,000 employees, following its existing operations in Bitola and Skopje.
