Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative leaders prosecuted for bribery

The Ministry of Public Security has prosecuted and detained Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board, and Le Minh Tam, Director of the Krong Pac Fruit Cooperative, on charges of receiving bribes. The cooperative is a major provider of durian growing area codes in Dak Lak province.

The investigation follows years of internal disputes and allegations of misconduct. Board member Nguyen Van Bay has long campaigned against perceived irregularities, including the illegal expulsion of members and conflicts of interest regarding the management of growing area codes. Court rulings in Dak Lak and Da Nang previously invalidated decisions made by the cooperative to expel members, highlighting ongoing governance issues and financial opacity within the organization.
