KRRiT initiates license revocation for Radio Gryfice

The National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has initiated proceedings to revoke the license of Radio Gryfice. Although the license was officially issued on May 30, 2025, the station has failed to begin broadcasting as required. The broadcaster, Polskie Wolne Media PSA, has cited ongoing technical and formal verification of broadcasting infrastructure as the cause for the delay. KRRiT is currently monitoring the situation following a reservation decision issued by the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) on September 1.

Separately, KRRiT has approved the distribution of approximately 603 million PLN from license fee revenues for 2027. The allocation maintains previous proportions: Telewizja Polska (TVP) is set to receive over 308 million PLN, Polskie Radio will receive over 148 million PLN, and regional broadcasters will share nearly 147 million PLN. KRRiT noted that these funds cover only a small fraction of public media needs, approximately 13% overall. Additionally, annual indexation will lead to increased monthly license fees starting in 2027.
