KRSM faces lawsuit over $4 million unpaid fuel bill

A federal lawsuit has been filed against the distribution company KRSM, alleging it failed to pay approximately $4 million for fuel supplied by Mansfield Oil Co. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, claims that KRSM acquired over 1 million gallons of fuel from a Sunoco terminal in Twin Oaks and subsequently distributed it to various retail locations.

A portion of this unpaid fuel was allegedly sold through the Freedom Fuel network, a brand of discount gas stations promoted by former President Donald Trump. The lawsuit asserts that KRSM’s failure to remit payment constitutes breach of contract and unjust enrichment. While the Freedom Fuel brand has been highlighted by Trump for its low pump prices, the legal action seeks the recovery of the outstanding $4 million plus interest and legal costs. KRSM has denied the accusations.
