Krsto Radović reappointed as director of Montenegrin waterworks amid legal disputes

Employees of the Regional Waterworks of the Montenegrin Coast (Regionalni vodovod Crnogorsko primorje) have called for urgent labor inspection following the reappointment of Krsto Radović as executive director. The workers claim the contract extension was conducted without a public advertisement and lacks a legal basis.

According to a letter sent to the Labor Inspection, previous inspections had already determined that Radović’s appointment was illegal, leading to his dismissal, only for him to be reappointed under similar circumstances. The employees have also requested criminal charges for abuse of official position.

The Special State Prosecutor’s Office is reportedly involved, having seized documentation from the company. The workers also raised concerns regarding Boro Lučić, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, alleging his dual role as an advisor to the President of Herceg Novi municipality violates the law.
