KRU Mitrovica workers threatened with firearm during water shutoff in Vushtrri
The Regional Water Supply Company “Mitrovica” reported that its employees were threatened with a firearm while carrying out a water shut‑off operation for a consumer in Vushtrri. The consumer had been regularly supplied with water but had not paid outstanding water bills, despite repeated notices and offers to arrange payment.
The company said the incident ended without any physical injuries but described the use of a firearm as a serious and unacceptable act of violence. KRU Mitrovica has appealed to the Kosovo Police and the justice system to investigate the case, identify those responsible and take appropriate legal action. It also called on customers to resolve billing disputes through official channels and reiterated its zero‑tolerance policy toward threats against its staff.
