Kruševo announces major infrastructure and tourism development projects
Mayor Niko Čoneski has announced a series of infrastructure, tourism, and utility projects aimed at modernizing the city of Kruševo. Key developments include the construction of an access road to ski slopes, which is intended to eventually connect to a planned bypass designed to divert heavy freight traffic from the city center.
In the tourism and sports sectors, the municipality is finalizing two new paragliding takeoff sites to expand the capacity of the local paragliding center. Additionally, a new multi-purpose sports hall is planned with support from the Ministry of Sport, and renovations are underway at the ‘Gumenje’ recreational center and the area surrounding Kruševo Lake.
Utility improvements include a study to reduce water supply losses, the completion of a pumping station reconstruction, and the procurement of new hydro and electro equipment. The city is also implementing a waste selection system and upgrading its municipal fleet. Urban revitalization efforts also include the reconstruction of the Kruševo bazaar and the city market.
