Kruševo hosts 18th FAI European Paragliding Championship

Kruševo is hosting the 18th FAI European Paragliding Championship from August 8 to 19. The event features 130 pilots representing 38 different countries competing in the Paragliding Cross Country discipline.

More than 200 participants, including teams and support personnel, are involved in the competition. Primary flights take place from Mečkin Kamen, with landings and task completions occurring at various designated sites throughout the surrounding area.

Organizers noted that the championship serves to confirm Kruševo’s status as an international paragliding destination and provides an opportunity to develop local infrastructure and tourism. Ongoing projects, such as the IPA CBC Kruševo and Elbasan project, are working to build two new takeoff sites at Crn Vrv to enhance adventure tourism capabilities.
