Krug Champagne Teams with Composer Max Richter for “Every Note Counts” Project

Maison Krug partnered with composer Max Richter and chef de caves Julie Cavil for the “Every Note Counts” project, linking the craft of Champagne making with music composition. The collaboration centers on Krug’s 2008 vintage, described as a cool, regular year that produced precise, elegant wines. Three distinct cuvées from that harvest were interpreted by Richter into original compositions, highlighting how small details in both fields can shape the overall experience.

The project emphasizes the shared creative process of assembling individual elements—grape parcels in Champagne and musical motifs in a score—to produce a cohesive, emotionally resonant whole.
