Kruger Agostinelli, Marche nightlife icon, dies at 72

Kruger Agostinelli, a prominent figure in the nightlife, journalism, and communication sectors of the Marche region, has passed away at the age of 72 following a long illness.

Agostinelli was a central figure during the golden era of Italian discotheques, having worked at iconic venues such as Krakatoa, Carillon, Papagayo, Covo Nord Est, and Piranha in Falconara. Throughout his career, he interacted with international artists including Ray Charles, Gloria Gaynor, and Donna Summer. He also served as the Marche regional head for the Associazione Italiana Disk Jockey.

Beyond his work as a DJ, Agostinelli was a journalist, photographer, and radio personality. He founded the record store Disco Fantasia and was recognized for his civic engagement in Falconara Marittima. Local officials and colleagues have expressed deep sorrow, describing him as a creative and generous professional who served as a cultural bridge between generations.
