Krunal Pandya considered for India T20I comeback

Krunal Pandya is reportedly being considered for a return to the Indian T20I squad ahead of the upcoming three-match series against Afghanistan, scheduled to begin on September 13 in Delhi.

The all-rounder, who last represented India in 2021, has seen a career resurgence following successful seasons with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League. Reports suggest the selection committee is exploring left-arm spin options following Axar Patel’s recent performances against Ireland and England.

In addition to Pandya, the squad selection may involve other players returning from injury, including Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy. While Jasprit Bumrah may miss the Afghanistan series, he is expected to return for the Asian Games.
