Kruno Raguž Resigns as Vukovar SDP Leader, Leaves Party

On 6 August 2026, Kruno Raguž, president of the Vukovar local organization of Croatia's Social Democratic Party (SDP), announced that he is leaving the party and therefore relinquishing his position as head of the Vukovar SDP branch.

In a detailed post on social media he described ongoing internal conflicts, loss of access to the party's Facebook page, and alleged attempts to remove him from leadership. Raguž said he will continue to serve as an independent member of the Vukovar City Council and wished the SDP continued success despite his criticism of the party's handling of local issues.
