Krusevo water chlorination halted for an hour after power outage

A brief electricity interruption in the town of Krusevo stopped the municipal water‑treatment plant’s chlorine injection system for roughly one hour. Director Stojanche Angелov of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue said the equipment resumed operation shortly thereafter, restoring normal chlorine levels.

No residents have reported illness or symptoms linked to the water. Authorities advised people to use bottled water for drinking and to boil tap water for at least ten minutes before cooking or personal hygiene. Angелov emphasized that the Krusevo incident is unrelated to the ongoing water‑quality crisis in Gostivar, where water is deemed unsafe for consumption.
