Krushevet village robbery: Three charged in violent assault on elderly man

Three men have been charged following a violent home invasion and robbery in the village of Krushevet, near Sozopol. The victim, 70-year-old Stoyan Tsifondarev, was attacked in his home during the night after hearing noises in his yard.

According to the Burgas District Prosecutor's Office, the assailants struck the victim in the back of the head with a hard object, causing him to fall. The attackers then tied his hands behind his back with tape and plastic bags to break his resistance. During the assault, the victim reported being beaten with metal rods and suffering burns to his arms. The perpetrators stole approximately 2,000 US dollars, 500 euros, about 200 gold coins, and mobile phones.

Investigators believe the crime was premeditated, noting that the three masked men used a vehicle that later yielded evidence, including masks. While three men from the Sofia region have been charged with physical violence and theft, authorities are also investigating a local woman from Krushevet. She was detained for questioning to determine if she assisted the attackers in reaching the victim's home.
