Krystian Getinger returns to Stal Mielec as Polish clubs boost squads
Veteran defender Krystian Getinger has rejoined Stal Mielec, the club where he began his career. He said, "I always wanted to be here, to finish where it all started," and expressed his desire to help the team both on the pitch and in the dressing room. Stal Mielec are competing in Poland's I liga after relegation from the Ekstraklasa and are aiming for a return to the top tier. The club recently underwent major changes, including a new president, board and head coach, and hopes the experienced player will aid their promotion push.
Meanwhile, Wisła Kraków announced the signing of Swiss striker Jérémy Guillemenot. The 26‑year‑old, a product of FC Barcelona's academy, signed a contract running to 30 June 2028 with an option to extend. Guillemenot arrived after a season in the Swiss Super League where he scored seven goals and added three assists, and he has previously played for Rapid Wien and FC St. Gallen. The new signing is part of Wisła’s effort to strengthen the attack ahead of its upcoming campaign in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa.
