Krystyna Kodymowska, Warsaw Uprising veteran, dies at 98
Krystyna Kodymowska, known by her pseudonym ‘Stokrotka’, has passed away at the age of 98. The Office for Combatants and Victims of Repression confirmed her death.
During the Warsaw Uprising, Kodymowska served as a liaison and medic for the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) within the ‘Bakcyl’ Sanitary District of Warsaw. After the war, she resided in Gdynia and practiced as a legal counsel. She was also a member of the World Association of Home Army Soldiers and dedicated much of her life to preserving the memory of the Warsaw Uprising.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on August 25 at 11:30 AM with a Mass at the Srebrzysko Central Cemetery in Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz.
