Krzysztof Bosak proposes healthcare reforms in Poland

Krzysztof Bosak, Vice-Marshal of the Sejm and leader of the Konfederacja party, has presented a series of proposals aimed at reforming the Polish healthcare system. During a visit to Gorzów Wielkopolski, Bosak argued that increasing funding alone is insufficient without stricter controls on how public money is spent, claiming that a significant portion of healthcare funds is being misappropriated.

Key proposals include the introduction of a system similar to vehicle tachographs to monitor doctors' working hours and rest periods during shifts. This measure is intended to improve both medical efficiency and patient safety. Additionally, Bosak suggested that medical graduates who received free education in Poland should be required to repay the state for their training costs if they choose to emigrate rather than work within the country.

To address long-term shortages, the Konfederacja leader called for an increase in medical school placements and specialized training positions. He emphasized that Polish universities should prioritize training doctors for the domestic market, criticizing the high number of international students currently enrolled in medical programs.
