Krzysztof Piątek to join Al-Wahda on loan from Al-Duhail

Polish striker Krzysztof Piątek is set to leave the Qatari club Al-Duhail on a one-year loan to join Al-Wahda in the United Arab Emirates.

The move follows a change in regulations by the Qatar Stars League federation, which reduced the number of allowed foreign players per club from ten to five. This rule change has prompted Al-Duhail to seek departures among its international roster.

Piątek, 31, recorded 17 goals and five assists in 36 appearances for Al-Duhail during the previous season. While he had previously signed a contract through 2028, the loan arrangement to Al-Wahda has been facilitated following his release from the club's recent training camp in the Netherlands.
