KS Mate wins award for AI‑based SafeWeather safety service in South Korea

Facility‑management firm KS Mate was awarded an Excellence Prize in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s 4th Disaster‑Safety Data Startup Competition, which was co‑hosted by the National Information Society Agency (NIA). The competition received 59 entries, with six teams receiving awards; KS Mate earned the product‑service development award for its AI solution SafeWeather AI, which assesses heat‑related risk for outdoor workers by analyzing temperature, humidity and work conditions.

The company plans to further develop AI‑driven risk‑assessment automation, deploy drone‑based facility inspections and integrate public data to enhance safety management across its 226 buildings and over 3,400 sites nationwide. CEO Park Yi‑geun emphasized shifting repetitive, hazardous tasks to technology to improve overall safety and service quality.
