K+S raises 2026 profit guidance amid high potash demand

K+S has raised its full-year 2026 EBITDA guidance to between 680 million and 760 million euros, following a strong second quarter driven by high potash demand and positive price developments. The company reported second-quarter revenue of 978 million euros, a 12 percent increase year-over-year, with EBITDA rising 60 percent to 176 million euros. Despite these operational successes and the progress of the 'Werra 2060' transformation project, the company's stock faced downward pressure, dropping over 3.5 percent as ExodusPoint Capital Management increased its net short position.

SMA Solar Technology also reported significant financial shifts in the first half of 2026. While revenue remained stable at 686.6 million euros, the company saw a substantial increase in EBITDA before special items, rising 31 percent to 65.9 million euros. This improvement was supported by cost-cutting measures from its restructuring program and one-time effects, including US tariff refunds.

Separately, Datadog reported accelerating growth, with 36 percent growth in its latest quarter. CFO David Obstler attributed this to platform expansion and increased demand for AI-ready infrastructure and security capabilities across various customer segments.
