Książnica Beskidzka introduces automated book lockers in Bielsko-Biała

Książnica Beskidzka is introducing automated book lockers in Bielsko-Biała to allow readers to pick up and return books outside of standard library operating hours. The project aims to increase accessibility for residents, particularly those working during the day or those who prefer evening or weekend visits.

Two devices have been installed: one at the library's main headquarters on Juliusza Słowackiego Street and another at the Sarni Stok shopping center. The shopping center location is expected to provide extended availability aligned with the mall's hours.

The purchase of these lockers was funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Promotion Fund. While the machines are currently being installed and undergo final preparations, the service is expected to launch soon.
