Öksüt Madencilik expands university outreach with 'Kampüste' engineering program

Öksüt Madencilik has launched the "Öksüt Kampüste" program to introduce engineering students to the mining sector. Beginning in 2026, the initiative has held events at five Turkish universities, reaching 440 students with technical presentations, Q&A sessions and a Ludi simulation that mimics mine operations.

The company plans to extend the program to seven universities and 600 students by the end of the year. A field‑based component, "Kampüs Sahada," takes participants to the Develi gold mine in Kayseri, where they observe health‑and‑safety practices and other on‑site processes. Fatih Koç, director of HR and Corporate Communications at Öksüt Madencilik, said the program strengthens the sector’s talent pool and helps students make informed career choices. The outreach is scheduled to continue through 2027 and further expand its reach.
