KSW faces criticism over event frequency and star power

Former KSW fighter and commentator Łukasz Jurkowski has raised concerns regarding the current direction of the KSW mixed martial arts organization. Jurkowski suggests that the increasing frequency of events—moving from quarterly shows to monthly occurrences—is causing the brand to become commonplace and lose its sense of exclusivity for both fans and athletes.

He further noted a shortage of ‘star power,’ arguing that the organization lacks a sufficient number of high-profile athletes capable of attracting mainstream audiences beyond the core MMA fanbase. According to Jurkowski, relying solely on sporting interest is insufficient without recognizable figures to drive engagement.

Separately, MMA figure Mamed Gamiet has addressed legal developments following a non-final court ruling in Tarnowskie Góry. The court previously found him liable for involvement in the purchase of stolen luxury vehicles in Poland and the Czech Republic between 2016 and 2017, as well as activities related to the arson of two vehicles in Rybnik. Gamiet has denied the allegations via social media, stating he intends to appeal the decision and maintains his innocence.
