KT advances AI transformation through Next IT strategy and full-stack consortium

KT is accelerating its transition toward becoming an AI Transformation (AX) platform company through its ‘Next IT’ strategy and participation in the ‘Everyone’s AI’ national project.

The ‘Next IT’ initiative focuses on modernizing the company’s entire IT ecosystem across three pillars: Next IT Platform, Next IT Infrastructure, and Next IT Works. This includes upgrading core systems like ERP, BSS, and OSS, building a next-generation internal private cloud (IPC), and integrating AI into the full lifecycle of IT development and operations via the AID-X system. The goal is to enhance service stability, security, and operational agility while improving employee productivity.

Simultaneously, KT is leading a consortium for the government-backed ‘Everyone’s AI’ project. By collaborating with domestic AI specialists, KT aims to provide a full-stack AI service that integrates Korean AI semiconductors, models, platforms, and cloud networks. Key partners include Rebellions for NPU technology, Upstage for AI models, and various other firms providing computing resources and development platforms. KT will act as an ‘AI orchestrator,’ connecting these diverse technologies into a unified, stable service for public use.
