KT and Gyeonggi Association host 26th IT Festival for the disabled

The 26th Gyeonggi Province IT Festival for the disabled was held at the Seoul National University Siheung Campus Convention Center. Organized by KT's Seoul Metropolitan Gangnam Customer Headquarters and the Gyeonggi Association for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, the event brought together approximately 400 participants aged seven and older from the Gyeonggi region.

To address the digital divide and enhance information literacy, the festival featured competitions in IT, e-sports, and AI challenges. A new category, ‘AI Information Search,’ was introduced this year to help participants develop skills in using generative AI tools to solve problems and navigate information.

In addition to the competitions, the venue included digital experience booths. The KT Group Hope Sharing Foundation provided catering and snacks for participants, guardians, and volunteers. Organizers emphasized the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities can access and benefit from emerging technologies in the AI era.
