KTR praises Nani's film ‘The Paradise’ for its cultural portrayal
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) attended a special screening of the Telugu period action-drama ‘The Paradise’ at Sudharshan Theatre in Hyderabad. KTR, accompanied by several BRS leaders and former ministers, praised the film for its portrayal of the struggle for existence and its fight against oppression.
Directed by Srikanth Odela and starring Nani, the film is set in the 1980s and focuses on the Savaari tribe’s fight for recognition. KTR noted that the movie remarkably captures Telangana’s soil, dialect, and culture. The film also features a political character, MLA Shankaranna, played by Priyadarshi Pulikonda, whose appearance and mannerisms reportedly draw comparisons to former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).
In addition to his cinema outing, KTR visited the Nagarkurnool district in Telangana to inspect dried-up crops and interact with farmers regarding the difficulties caused by the recent dry spell.
