Kütahya-based book mobilization reaches 348 schools
A volunteer-led educational mobilization centered in Kütahya has reached 348 schools, providing books, stationery, and various educational materials to students in need. Led by Zeki Aktürk, the initiative aims to support children with limited access to learning resources.
The campaign began at Safa Schools in Etimesgut, Ankara, where teachers and students collected books to be redistributed. Subsequent distributions included several schools in the Döğer district of Afyonkarahisar, such as Fatih Primary and Secondary Schools, Döğer Primary School, and Yunus Emre Primary School. In addition to books, students received intelligence games and footballs.
The initiative also extended to Mahmut Fehime Güleç Secondary School in the Şehitkamil district of Gaziantep. Aktürk emphasized the impact of the project, stating, “A book is not just read. It touches a child's dream, future, and life.” The volunteer team continues to provide stationery aid to families in need and plans to expand the reach of the campaign in upcoming academic terms.
