Kütahya Hosts First “Kuvây‑ı Aile” Family Congress

The Kadim Foundation and the Külünkoğlu Family Association organized the inaugural “Kuvây‑ı Aile” (Family Power) Congress in Kütahya, Turkey, at the historic Kadim Konağı. The event gathered academics, educators, authors and civil‑society representatives from across the country to discuss how families can be strengthened amid social, cultural and digital challenges. Sessions examined the impact of social media on family life, inter‑generational communication, cultural transformation and the preservation of family values.

Kadim Foundation President Mustafa Önsay highlighted that the congress is the first of its kind in Turkey and aims to develop a model that helps families organize around their own roots and values. The congress also presented findings from a Ministry‑of‑Interior‑supported research project conducted in 25 provinces, involving more than 1,000 respondents and a 136‑question survey, to inform future social‑policy work. Speakers included Prof. Dr. Ahmet Dağ, Prof. Dr. Murat Okçu, sociologist Sedat Servet Hocaoğlu and researcher‑author Metin Külünk, among others.
