Kütahya Service Operator Shooting Investigated, Suspect Arrested
Police in Kütahya solved a shooting that injured a service‑operator after reviewing 96 hours of security‑camera footage. The attacker, who rode an unregistered motorcycle, was identified, tracked to a new‑plate vehicle and arrested at his residence. During interrogation he admitted that a former friend introduced him to the organizer, who offered 100,000 lira to carry out the attack and paid him on the day of the incident. The suspect destroyed his helmet and shoes by burning them and hid the firearm and gloves near a railway line, all of which were later recovered. The shooter was sentenced to prison, while the intermediary and the organizer received travel bans and judicial‑control conditions. The investigation remains ongoing.
