Sarayköy street animals suspected of being poisoned

In the Sarayköy district of Denizli, an investigation has been launched following the suspected poisoning of street animals. Residents reported finding the bodies of three dogs and three kittens in a neighborhood.

According to local reports, unidentified individuals allegedly placed pieces of meat and chicken containing toxic substances wrapped in string near the animals' habitats. The use of string was reportedly intended to hide the scent of the poison. Local residents discovered several of these suspicious food items and buried them to prevent further harm to other animals.

Jandarma (gendarmerie) and veterinary teams have arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation. Municipal teams collected the deceased animals, and further tests are expected to determine the exact cause of death.
