Kütahya, Turkey crash kills teen and injures two in truck‑car collision
A chain‑reaction traffic accident occurred at the Sporkent Köprülü junction on the Kütahya‑Afyonkarahisar highway. A car driven by Muhammet Ali Koltka collided with a truck operated by Mehmet Varol, causing the car to lose control, flip onto the opposite lane and strike a lighting pole after another vehicle attempted to avoid it. Seventeen‑year‑old passenger Ali Koltka was killed; the car driver Muhammet Ali Koltka sustained severe injuries and Halil İbrahim Tunç was lightly injured. Emergency services arrived, transported the injured to Kütahya City Hospital, and the deceased was taken to the morgue after forensic examination. Police, fire and medical crews cleared the scene, and traffic was restored after the vehicles were removed and the road cleaned. The Kütahya Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened a broad investigation into the crash.
