KTOEÖS delegation meets with Republican Turkish Party

A delegation from the Cyprus Turkish Secondary Education Teachers' Union (KTOEÖS) met with the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) to discuss critical legislative and educational issues. During the meeting, KTOEÖS presented a report titled ‘Why Should Changes Be Made in the Migration Law and Single Social Security Laws?’ to CTP Chairperson Sıla Usar İncirli and party officials.

The discussions focused on the financial, social, and retirement rights of teachers, highlighting inequalities and grievances caused by current legal frameworks. Additionally, the union raised concerns regarding the education system, specifically citing infrastructure deficiencies, issues with full-day education implementation, and staff shortages. KTOEÖS emphasized that a lack of sufficient teacher vacancies has prevented necessary hiring, potentially leading to staffing shortages for the upcoming academic year.
