Kąty Wrocławskie warehouse inspection detains 18 foreign nationals
Police from Wrocław, the Border Guard, and the National Labour Inspectorate conducted a joint operation at a warehouse on Logistyczna Street in Kąty Wrocławskie to verify the legality of foreign workers' stay and employment.
The operation was part of the EMPACT THB and EAD Labour Exploitation 2026 projects, coordinated by Europol, aimed at combating human trafficking and forced labor. During the inspection, authorities identified irregularities regarding documentation and work permits.
As a result, 18 foreign nationals, primarily citizens of Colombia and Venezuela, were detained and handed over to the Border Guard. Investigations revealed that some individuals were working without the required permits or visas. While Colombian citizens may benefit from visa-free travel for short-term stays, this does not extend to legal employment in Poland.
