Konya launches August bicycle tours as European Cycling Capital
Konya Metropolitan Municipality announced that bicycle tours will continue in August as part of the city’s role as the 2026 European Cycling Capital. The programme, under the slogan “Keykubad'ın İzinde Pedallıyoruz”, adds new routes to the existing series.
The August schedule includes three rides: 2 August – a tour of the ancient settlement Çatalhöyük, 16 August – the Beyşehir Dumanlı Plateau and Kubadabad Palace, and 23 August – the Kadınhanı–Kestel recreation area. The municipality says six tours have already been held earlier in the year, and cyclists can register through the website viaanatolia.com. The events are intended to promote Konya’s natural, historic and cultural attractions while encouraging cycling and tourism.
