Kuşadası: 17-year-old suspect arrested after knife incident

A 17-year-old suspect, identified as S. K., has been arrested in the Kuşadası district of Aydın after causing panic on Adnan Menderes Boulevard. On October 31, the individual, who reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder, was seen running barefoot while wielding knives.

During the incident, the suspect reportedly held the knives to his throat and refused to comply with police instructions. Law enforcement officers fired shots into the air to deter the individual and later used pepper spray when the suspect entered a clothing store. Following a struggle involving the suspect's father and police, the individual was taken into custody.

S. K. was transferred to the İzmir Aliağa Şakran Child and Youth Closed Penal Institution after being processed by the courts.
