Kuşadası youth wrestlers visit Deputy Mayor after championship success

Young wrestlers from Kuşadası, representing the Aydın province, visited Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Tahsin Demirtaş following their successful performance at the Greco-Roman Wrestling Turkey Championship held in Ankara from July 23 to 25.

Competing in age categories ranging from U-9 to U-14, the athletes achieved several notable placements. Miraç Yağız Topal secured the Turkish championship in the 47 kg category (U-9). Other successful participants included Ali Çakmak, who earned second place, and Mehmethan Miraç Uzlaş, Ege Özdikici, and Muhammed Emin Özkay, who all achieved third-place finishes. Miraç Aytunç Koca placed fifth.

During the visit, Demirtaş congratulated the athletes and their coaches, emphasizing that their achievements represent a source of pride for Kuşadası. The meeting included an exchange of gifts, where the young wrestlers presented the Deputy Mayor with a wrestling jersey.
