Kuala Lumpur police chase ends in crash and arrests

A high-speed police chase in Kuala Lumpur ended in a multi-vehicle crash and the arrest of two men on 11 October. The pursuit began after officers attempted to inspect an Isuzu D-Max pickup truck, which then fled toward the Jalan Jelatek and Jalan Taman Setiawangsa intersection.

The vehicle struck a road divider and collided with three other cars: a Proton Wira, a Proton Persona, and a Toyota Harrier. Following the crash, one suspect attempted to flee on foot and tried to seize a motorcycle from a bystander before being apprehended by police with the assistance of nearby motorists and delivery riders.

Authorities recovered tools suspected to be used for cable theft, including a machete, a sickle, and a manhole cover opener. Suspected drugs were also seized from both individuals. The suspects face multiple investigations involving obstruction of public servants, mischief, reckless driving, and possession of offensive weapons and drugs.
