Kuala Lumpur police suspect insider in RM2.91 million robbery

Kuala Lumpur police have identified potential ‘insider’ involvement in a group robbery at a luxury condominium on Jalan Ampang that resulted in losses of approximately RM2.91 million. The incident occurred on September 7 at the Pavilion Embassy residence.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus stated that investigations suggest a connection between the robbery and the victim himself, though specific details remain undisclosed. While suspects have been identified, no arrests have been made as the investigation continues aggressively.

The robbery involved a group of masked, gloved men armed with knives who entered a unit belonging to a 28-year-old Chinese national. The perpetrators stole cash, jewelry, and luxury watches, and also took the victim's passport. Police are currently coordinating with the Chinese Embassy regarding the missing passport and have interviewed residents, staff, and security personnel.
