Kuala Lumpur to host major road engineering conferences in October

Kuala Lumpur is set to host the 13th Malaysian Road Conference & Exhibition (MRC 2026) and the 6th International Road Federation (IRF) Global Asia-Pacific Regional Congress from October 13 to 15, 2026. The event, held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre, aims to gather approximately 1,000 participants, including an expected 10 percent international attendance.

Under the theme ‘Transforming the Nation Through Future-Ready Roads’, the conference will focus on resilient and sustainable infrastructure. The program includes the presentation of over 120 technical papers covering subthemes such as slope engineering, road safety audits, asset management, and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in smart road technology.

The event will also feature an exhibition space with over 100 booths showcasing the latest road engineering products and innovations. Additionally, the conference includes initiatives for the next generation of engineers, such as the Young Engineers and Professionals (YEP) program and an invention and innovation exhibition for university students.
