Kuba i Kuba win Bursztynowy Słowik at Sopot Festival

The 2026 Top of the Top Sopot Festival, held at the Opera Leśna, featured the return of a professional jury to decide the prestigious Bursztynowy Słowik award. The voting process was split 50:50 between a jury consisting of Katarzyna Nosowska, Andrzej Smolik, and L. U. C. Rostowski, and public SMS votes.

The duo Kuba i Kuba won the main award with their song ‘Stygnie lato’. Ania Karwan secured second place, while Kasia Sienkiewicz took third. The jury's preferences occasionally diverged from the public's; for instance, both Nosowska and Smolik ranked Ania Karwan highest, whereas the overall winner was determined by the combined tally.

The festival's second day included performances from various artists under the ‘Open Stage’ theme, such as Żabson, who made a notable entrance on a jet ski. Other performers included Agnieszka Chylińska, Blue Cafe, and Ralph Kaminski. The announcement of the winners sparked significant debate among viewers on social media, with some criticizing the result and suggesting other artists were more deserving.
