Kubernetes Community Days announces H1 2027 global schedule

The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has announced the schedule for Kubernetes Community Days (KCDs) for the first half of 2027. These community-organized events are designed to bring together open source adopters and technologists for technical education and networking.

To support varying community sizes, the CNCF utilizes three tiers for KCDs: Tier 0 for first-time events with up to 200 attendees, Tier 1 for returning events with 350 or more attendees, and Tier 2 for established independent events with up to 600 registrations.

Scheduled locations for H1 2027 include Panama, Pune, Vancouver, Beijing, Bangkok, Cairo, Texas, Guadalajara, Hyderabad, Valencia, San Francisco Bay Area, Toronto, Helsinki, Cali, and New York.

In a related spotlight, the second KCD San Francisco Bay Area is set to take place on September 1, 2026, at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. Organizers from Red Hat, Intuit, and Google Cloud highlighted the importance of the local community in driving Kubernetes and cloud-native innovation.
