Kuching police arrest man for operating unlicensed entertainment centre

Police in Kuching have arrested a 53-year-old man for allegedly operating an entertainment centre without a valid license. During an enforcement operation near Kuching Airport Road, authorities seized music equipment as part of the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 5(1) of the Entertainment Ordinance 2000. If convicted, the offender faces a fine of up to RM20,000, imprisonment for up to five years, or both. Local police stated that monitoring and enforcement operations will continue to ensure all entertainment premises comply with licensing and operating requirements.
